Directorial debut of Man Lim Chung, who spent 3 years filming this documentary about the life and filmmaking philosophy of Ann Hui, one of Hong Kong’s greatest filmmakers. It traces Hui’s life story and her 40-year career’s ups and downs using film footages, candid conversations with Hui, and interviews with her collaborators, family and friends.
