The movie is based on a real incident of Sichuan Airlines Flight 8633 on 14 May 2018. When the cockpit windshield shatters after takeoff, the Captain manages to land the airplane safely with his level-headed swift actions and sheer determination. This is lauded as a miracle in airline history.
