    Since 2007, the Hong Kong Health Authority has implemented an anti-smoking law that bans smoking in all indoor areas. This pushes office smokers to take their cigarette breaks in the street. Smokers from neighboring buildings gradually bond and form a new community known as "Hot Pot Pack", as they would gather around a trash bin with an ashtray, staring small takes with raunchy jokes. During the cigarette break, Jimmy (Shawn Yu) befriends a misfit salesgirl Cherie (Miriam Yeung) who also likes to light up. An awkward romance soon blossoms amidst the anxiety of their nicotine rush.

    Tang monk Tripitaka (Nicholas Tse) and his three disciples - Sun Wukong (Chen Po-lm), Zhu Wuneng (Kenny Kwan), and Sha Wujing (Steven Cheung) arrive at Shache City. During their stay in the city, the three disciples are captured by the Root of All Evils. The Golden Pole intervenes and saves Tripitaka and the latter tries to find a way to save them. He meets a young lizard imp named Meiyan (Charlene Choi). Meiyan falls in love with Tripitaka at first sight and devotes herself to trailing him. In this journey, Tripitaka meets Princess Xiaoshan (Fan Bingbing), who promises to help him save his disciples. Meiyan helps the Princess defeat the enemy and rescue Tripitaka and his disciples. A benevolent Buddha is moved by her effort and pardons the two, on the condition that they embank on a journey to the west to accomplish the Eighty-One Tasks to redeem themselves as well as to save the world!
